General FAQ's
Q.) What is the GEN 2?
A.) Brijot’s GEN 2 is composed of a real-time Radiometric Scanner that images electromagnetic millimeter wave energy, an integrated full-motion video system, on-board computer, and sophisticated, intelligent video detection engine. Using the GEN 2 value-added detection engine's capability your security screeners will automatically be alerted and can easily pinpoint concealed objects without intrusive, time-consuming, personnel-intensive and potentially dangerous physical searches
Q.) How does the GEN 2 work?
A.) The system’s passive Radiometric Scanner can detect concealed objects by distinguishing between the millimeter wave energy naturally emitted by the human body and the energy of the concealed objects, even when they’re hidden beneath clothing. Concealed items such as explosives, weapons, contraband, or stolen items are shown as a black area in front of the blue human form. The systems detection engine draws an indicator box around the potential threat or contraband to alert security staff of the need for a secondary screening or triggers a "lock down" event.
Q.) Does the GEN 2 system require intrusive pat downs?
A.) No, the system allows security screeners and law enforcement officers to perform “virtual” pat downs from a distance without direct contact and without cooperation, providing an effective means to manage possible threats before they can become harmful incidents.
Q.) Is the GEN 2 system potentially harmful to people being A.) screened or the screeners?
No, it is completely passive and does not radiate subjects, which poses no health risks even to those persons with pacemakers or pregnant women.
Q.) Could the GEN 2 system cause problems for people suffering from claustrophobia?
A.) The system is deployed as an open standoff application it will not cause claustrophobia.
Q.) Does GEN 2 system reveal anatomical details?
A.) The system does not reveal anatomical details thereby personal privacy issues are eliminated
Q.) How easy is it to use the GEN 2 system?
A.) Brijot’s Graphical User Interface (GUI) is a simple, easy to understand tool allowing the operator to identify hidden objects without confusion or delay. With minimal training, a user can clearly identify and locate hidden objects in real-time by observing event icons and detection boxes on a full-motion video image.
Q.) What does passive mean?
A.) The GEN 2's passive system does not radiate subjects, illuminate or emit any energy that could pose health risks to subjects or screener.
Q.) Why is full-motion important?
A.) Full motion weapons detection allows the system to detect concealed threats sooner, minimize loss prevention more effectively, and virtually pat down and screen people in areas that you have not been able to search them before. All detection occurs in real-time while the subjects travel past the system(s) at a normal walking pace. This allows for maximum throughput while assuring minimum inconvenience, waiting and lines.
Q.) Why is stand-off important?
A.) The detection area can be monitored remotely, in real time, without requiring cooperation and without a physical pat down. With remote monitoring, the security personnel are protected from any threat that may be detected.
Q.) What about my current systems?
A.) Proper security often requires a multi-layered approach, incorporating a range of tools and carefully planned protocols. The WDS is designed to integrate seamlessly with other security systems. Each system has multiple inputs and outputs, and data can be accessed using the system’s Application Programming Interface (API), allowing the system to work in tandem with your existing or planned security technologies.
Q.) What are some applications?

- Airport/High Security Transportation Hubs
- Government Buildings/High Security Hotels
- Loss Prevention
