Passive Millimeter Wave Technology
How does it work?
Brijot's GEN 2 system’s full motion, passive Radiometric Scanner detects concealed objects by distinguishing between the millimeter wave energy naturally emitted by the human body and the energy of the concealed objects even when they’re hidden beneath clothing.
Concealed items such as explosives, weapons, contraband, or stolen items are shown as a black image in front of the blue human form. The systems detection engine draws an indicator box around the potential threat or contraband to alert security staff of the need for a secondary screening or triggers a "lock down" event. The system accurately detects items made of metals, ceramics, plastics, composites, liquids and gels. With minimal training, a GEN 2 user can clearly identify hidden objects in real-time from a secure location.
The system is completely passive, which means the system accomplishes the above unobtrusively, without radiating subjects, or posing health risks even to those persons with pacemakers, or pregnant women. Deployed as a stand-off application it will not cause claustrophobia and is a safe and discrete screening solution for all. Furthermore, Brijot’s millimeter wave sensors do not image anatomical details, thus protecting privacy.
The GEN 2 system allows for more accurate detection minimizes loss prevention and virtually pats down all people entering or exiting a facility or area. The real-time, full motion imaging will not affect the efficiency of operations or cause inconvenience with long lines. The system doesn't require cooperation, and protects security staff from direct contact. When used alone or part of multi-layered security solution, Brijot's GEN 2 has proven reliability to reach an organization's security goals.
